Oct 14/15th :
Depart from Winnipeg to fly to Shanghai, via Vancouver.
Upon your arrival in ShangHai around 2:00 pm, you will be picked up
at ShangHai PuDong International Airport by an English-speaking guide
and transported to the hotel (Four-Star). You will relax for the remainder
of the day.

16th:
Your sightseeing will start by the Yuyuan
Garden, which is a 400-year old classic Chinese garden in the
old town of ShangHai. Shanghai is famous for silk products. A tour
of the Silk Workshop will introduce how to make silk from single or
double cocoons. ShangHai
Museum is another highlight, which displays Chinese art from ceramics
to jade to furniture. The Portman Acrobatic Show is your after-dinner

17th:
You will stroll along ShangHai’s world-renowned
Old Bund with its 100-year history. Its unique European architecture
is appealing to people from all over the world. Also, you will
take a fast elevator up to 280 meters in the
TV Tower of Oriental Pearl to see a bird's eye view of Shanghai.
This tower is the highest in Asia and the third highest in the world.
Afterwards, you will experience the “Maglev Train”, the
fastest (560km/h) and first commercial train in the world. After
lunch, you will take a Chinese express train from Shanghai to Suzhou,
which is famous for its natural beauty and considered a paradise.
You will be transferred to the Suzhou Bamboo Grove Hotel. Dinner will
be at the hotel. (B, L, D)
Oct 18th:
You will visit Lingering Garden and Tiger Hill. Lingering
Garden was originally laid out in 1522 AD. The whole space is artfully
and appropriately handled and arranged on exquisitely pretty scales.
It is a typical garden of the Ming period with elegance and exquisiteness
in the southern Yangtze Valley. After lunch, you will go to Tiger
Hill, which is a large hillock covering some 14,100 square metres
and is 36 metres in height. Climbing the hill, you will find a number
of historical sites, some of which can be traced back over 2500 years
to the founding of Suzhou. Although the hill is relatively small,
it has rich history. (B, L, D)

19th:
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Suzhou
train station or bus back to Shanghai and will catch flight to Yi
Chang city for the Yangtze cruise. You will then check in at the deluxe
cruise ship (Five-Star cruise).

Oct 20th:
At 8:00 a.m, the cruise ship departs and goes through
the 5 shiplocks. This will take 5 hours. Then you will disembark from
the cruise ship and visit the Three
Gorges Dam, the world's largest dam. Afterwards, you
will pass the Wu Gorge, the most enchanting of the three gorges, then
XiLing Gorge, the longest one.

21st:
You will visit the famous Shennong Stream, one of the
tributaries along the Yangtze river, and take a “Pea Pod”
boat to experience the local people’s life and beautiful scenery
along the river. (B, L, D)
Oct 22nd:
You
will enjoy the beauty of Qutang Gorge, the shortest and narrowest
one. You will get off the cruise ship and visit the famous Ghost
City of Fengdu, which shows a Chinese fairytale of the severe
penalties given to sinners in hell.
It is said that Fengdu City is the origin of the ghost culture.

Oct 23rd:
At 9:00 a.m,
you will disembark from the cruise and visit Panda Museum in ChongQuing.
Around 12:00 p.m, you will takea one and a half hour flight from ChongQing
to Xi’An. Upon arrival, you will enjoy the dumpling banquet.
You will then be transported to the four-star hotel. (B,

24th:
You will see the Terracotta
Warriors Museum, the so-called "eighth wonder of the
world". Then, you will visit Big
Wild Goose Pagoda , the symbol of Xi’An City, and visit
“Hui Min Street”, the largest Muslim residential and shopping
street in Xi’an. You will appreciate the Tang
Dynasty Dancing Show after dinner. (B, L, D)
Oct 25th:
After
breakfast, you will take flight to Beijing. It will take two hours
to fly from Xi’An to Beijing. You will visit the Temple
of Heaven, the place where emperors worshipped God twice a year
and prayed for a good year of harvest. After dinner, you will be transported
to the four star Hotel and relax. (B, L, D)
Oct 26th:
You will stroll in TianAnmen Square, the largest square
in Asia. Walking through Tiananmen square, you will get to the Forbidden
City, which has 9,999.5 rooms and a guide will explain to you
why there is a half room. After lunch, you will visit Summer
Palace, the largest imperial garden in Beijing. In the evening,
famous Beijing Duck will be served.

27th:
You will see the
BaDaLing Great Wall, which is the most famous one in Beijing.
You will live the Chinese saying “you are not a true human being
until you get onto the wall” and experience the significance
of the Great Wall. Then, you will go through the Sacred
Way, which was used for the dead emperor to return to the heavens.
The Sacred Way leads you to the Ding
Ling Tomb, where 14 emperors have been buried in this good “Feng
Sui” area. After dinner, you will enjoy the famous “Gong
Fu Show”. (B, L, D)

28th:
This
day will be free of scheduled activities so that you can explore the
city on your own. Detailed suggestions will be given in a presentation.
Around 1:30 p.m, we will be transferred to the Beijing international
airport for our back home flight. (B)
