TERMS AND CONDITIONSRESERVATION & PAYMENTReservations should be made at least 60 days prior to the departure date. Late reservations may be accepted up to 15 days before departure, depending on availability and subject to surcharge. A non-refundable deposit is required at time of the reservation. The deposit is $500CAD or $400USD per person. The remainder of payment must be received by Bowen Travel Inc. no later than 30 days prior to departure. The Company accepts cheques, cash, money orders and bank drafts. For the time being, Credit Cards are not accepted. The online payment option will be available soon. Reservations will be cancelled due to failure to comply with policies as stated in this document. The deposit will be fully refunded if the tour is cancelled due to an insufficient number of participants. For late reservations (60-15 days before tour date) the full payment is due at the time of reservation. A full refund will be made if the reservation is unable to be confirmed by Bowen Travel Inc. CURRENCY FLUCTUATIONAll prices listed are based on foreign exchange rates at the time of publication. They may change a bit due to fluctuation of exchange rates when landing in China. Final payment will be determined by the foreign exchange rate at the date of landing in china. Prices may change in the event of increased land or air costs that are beyond the Company's control. The Company reserves the right to alter the price of any tour. Any price increase will normally be notified 60 days prior to departure. CANCELLATION PENALTYFor cancellation notice received more than 30 days prior to departure, you will receive a penalty of the full deposit amount. Cancellations made between 20 to 29 days before departure will receive a full refund less 25% of the tour price plus deposit. Tour cost will be 100% non-refundable if cancellation is made within 20 days before departure. If Bowen Travel Inc. cancels a tour due to insufficient bookings or circumstances beyond its control, the Company will refund all monies paid. The Company shall not be held responsible for any expenses that may have been incurred as a result of the client booking. TRAVEL INSURANCEBowen Travel Inc. strongly recommends our tour participant purchase Trip Cancellation, Medical, Baggage and air travel provider’s default insurance to protect their investment and travel plans. Bowen Travel Inc. is not liable for any expenses due to illness, accidents or other losses by tour participants. TOUR COST INCLUSION (FULL PACKAGE)Package tour rates are quoted based on a minimum of 10 passengers. Tour costs include China domestic transportation (air/train/boat), airport/hotel transfers, hotel accommodation (based on double occupancy), professional tour guides as specified in itineraries, meals and evening entertainment as specified, and handling of one piece of check-in luggage up to 20kg within China. Minimum age accepted for our tours is 8 years old. Children between 8 and 11 may qualify for a discount on airfares and hotel charges. Children over 11 will be charged full adult fare. TOUR COST EXCLUSIONInternational airfare tickets(Canada to china or vice versa), any airport taxes, China visa fee, travel insurance fee, charges for excess baggage, laundry, liquor, telephone bills and all other expenses of a personal nature are not included in the Full Package tour cost. TRAVEL DOCUMENTSTour participants should possess a valid passport for at least 6 months beyond the tour return date. Bowen Travel Inc. can only act on your behalf to obtain a Chinese Visa upon your required documents are received at Bowen Travel Inc.'s office 40 days prior to departure and a $50 CAD/$40USD processing fee is paid. TOUR OPERATOR’S LIABILITYBowen Travel Inc. is a tour operator licensed in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We make the arrangements with airlines (domestic flights in china), international airlines if necessary, hotels, ground transportation companies, cruise lines and other independent parties to provide you with the travel services you purchase. Although we choose our vendors with great caution, we have no control over them and, therefore, cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions. Also, we shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs, expenses, delays or loss of enjoyment, of any nature or kind whatsoever, to you or your traveling companions or group members resulting from events beyond our or a supplier’s reasonable control including, but not limited to; wars, blockages, insurrections, riots, earthquakes, weather conditions, floods , or acts or restraints imposed by government authorities. We reserve the right to decline or refuse any person as a member of a tour should such person’s visa application be rejected. We also reserve the right to end a person’s participation in a tour should such a person’s deportment, mental condition, acts contrary to the laws of the host country or general deportment impede the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of the other members of the tour. Should a person not complete a tour due to their own actions, no refund will be issued and Bowen Travel Inc. is not liable for any expenses incurred or losses. We will indicate in the package descriptions whether a tour is suitable for a person with physical disabilities, and accept a person with physical disabilities impeding movement or requiring special access/equipment only in those cases where we can assure that accomodations and sites visited in China also provide full access for disabled persons. If no such access is assured, then tours are not available to physically disabled persons so as to avoid problems with lodging and travel while there. SERVICES STANDARDWe have made every effort to describe the travel services as accurately as possible. You should be aware that every country has its particular features which may or may not appeal to you including weather, food, local customs, etc. There may be different living standards, practices and conditions with respect to the provision of utilities, services and accommodation at your destination. Such standards may or may not be comparable to those you would expect from similar establishments in North America. Note that all hotels undergo routine maintenance and renovations. If we are advised of any significant change which may affect your enjoyment of the package, we will do our best to inform you in advance. By purchasing the particular travel service you have selected, you are deemed to have made all reasonable inquiries about the travel service. Your reservation with us confirms that you have read, understood and agreed to each and all of the above conditions and limits on responsibility.
