Bowen moved to Winnipeg in September 2003 from Beijing, China.
She graduated with a B.A from China Tourism University in Beijing.
After graduating, she started as a tour guide for American and European
tours coming to China. When working as a tour guide, she also organized
and coordinated tours for China Cultural Travel Agency.
During the following nine years, Bowen established her knowledge
of the travel industry by working for the German airlines, Lufthansa,
and for the American airlines: Northwest. In her capacity as the
person in charge of reservations and travel arrangements with Lufthansa,
she gained thorough understanding of airline’s booking system
and airfare structure. As a senior accountant with American Northwest
for five years, Bowen kept abreast of the Airlines industry accounting
procedures, prepared financial forecasts and long term budgets.
Her broad professional background in the airline and travel business
has contributed to Bowen’s vast experience in the travel and
tourism industry.
My Business Philosophy
Running a business requires complete attention. An effective manager
grows by leading the daily operations of her business towards achieving
continuous improvement.
Speaking of continuous improvement, I like to share a few observations
with you. I have noticed that when people greet each other, some
people may reply: “I am okay.” I am good.”, or
“I am pretty good.”, but I always respond: “I
am perfect!” Upon hearing this response, some people are shocked,
others laugh, yet some others think it is incredible, and as you
may have expected, a few think it is funny. Accordingly, I have
formed my personal belief that you can be perfect if you think you
can! Of course, nobody is perfect, but setting high standards for
your self and your business and striving not only to reach them,
but to exceed them, you can look ahead to excellent results. In
my management style, I like to always pursue perfection in all my
endeavors.
